Podolski klar för Arsenal

Lukas Podolski har gjort 18 mål i Bundesliga för sitt Köln den här säsongen. En säsong där har länkats allt mer samman med en flytt till London och Arsenal.
Det har under senare delen av våren snackats om att en affär är klar - men ingen av klubbarna har offentliggjort något.

För nu på eftermiddagen meddelar Arsenal att den tyske landslagsmannen, som är född i Polen, är klar för The Gunners.
Ett långtidskontrakt är påskrivet och Podolski bli Gooner i sommar.

Den 26-årige anfallare har spelat 96 landskamper för sitt Tyskland och gjort 46 mål.
Han kommenterar övergången så här:

There are many top quality players at Arsenal and the style of football which the team plays is fantastic. I’m proud to become an Arsenal player and am looking forward to playing my first match at Emirates Stadium and doing my best for all the Arsenal fans. I am looking forward to becoming an Arsenal player, but at the moment, my focus is with my current club Cologne. I will give everything I have until the end of season to make sure the team finish as high as possible in the Bundesliga. There will always be a place in my heart for FC Köln".
