Fabregas klar för Chelsea
Spelaren som en gång sade att "If I ever wear a Chelsea shirt you have the permission to kill me" - meddelade idag att han har skrivit på ett kontrakt med ... Chelsea.
Cesc Fabregas har bjudit på en rad citat genom åren där han deklarerat sin kärlek till Arsenal. Bland annat det ovan, men även "Once a gunner, always a gunner", "If I leave Barcelona it will only be for Arsenal again" och "I will never sign for another englisg club like Fernado Torres".
Idag visade spanjoren att de orden inte betydde någonting.
För han är numera en Chelseaspelare.
Fabregas har varit ryktenas man en tid sedan det stått klart att Barcelona ville sälja honom. Arsenal har haft första tjing, en klausul som man skrev in i dealen när man sålde honom till Barcelona 2011.
Men The Gunners verkar inte ha varit så sugna på att köpa tillbaka honom.
På sin Facebook-sida skriver Fabregas: "I do feel that I have unfinished business in the Premier League and now is the right time for me to return. Yes, everyone knows that Arsenal had the first option to sign me. They decided not to take this option and therefore it wasn't meant to be. I wish them well in the future. I considered all the other offers very carefully and I firmly believe that Chelsea is the best choice. They match my footballing ambitions with their hunger and desire to win trophies. They have an amazing squad of players and an incredible manager. I am fully committed to this team and I can't wait to start playing."
Fabregas har skrivit på ett femårskontrakt med Chelsea.
